Take a Positive, Strengths-Based Approach

The Embers helps patients design a fresh start beyond the harmful patterns that no longer serve them. Through individual and group sessions using evidence-based therapies, patients learn to reshape thought patterns, manage emotions more effectively, and develop greater self-understanding and compassion. Alongside traditional therapies, patients address deep-seated barriers with hypnotherapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and art therapy. They also strengthen daily functioning through life skills development, mindfulness, yoga, and medication management.

Choose the Right Pace

The Embers offers 3 levels of outpatient care complemented by nearby supportive housing for added convenience and accountability.

  • Partial hospitalization (PHP) is held 5-6 hours per day during the week and includes therapy sessions, skill-building workshops, and psychiatric care.
  • Intensive outpatient (IOP) meets 3-5 times per week with morning or evening sessions scheduled around work and family commitments.
  • Outpatient (OP) involves weekly therapy sessions after completing higher levels of care.

Receive Support After Treatment

At The Embers, healing continues long after patients transition out of higher levels of care. Case management helps patients navigate ongoing care and real-life challenges. Aftercare planning helps them maintain meaningful connections to treatment, resources, and community. Relapse prevention planning provides strategies that identify triggers and patterns while building the coping skills needed to overcome them.

Reframe Trauma, Restore Stability
Reframe Trauma, Restore Stability
The Embers makes other treatment modalities more effective by addressing the underlying trauma often linked to mental health and substance use disorders. Using a trauma-informed approach and therapies like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), they help patients reframe painful memories that may contribute to harmful patterns and intensify co-occurring conditions.
Navigate Recovery as a Family
Navigate Recovery as a Family
Recovery is rarely successful in isolation, so The Embers encourages the support, empowerment, and accountability of patients’ close family members, whether blood or chosen. Under the guidance of a therapist, family therapy sessions help patients and their families rebuild trust, develop healthy communication, and effectively navigate treatment and healing together.
Develop Yoga and Mindfulness Practices
Develop Yoga and Mindfulness Practices
Mindfulness and physical movement go hand-in-hand at The Embers. Through yoga therapy and mindfulness practices, patients build practical skills to manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and navigate recovery with greater awareness. Patients learn to recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and actions, helping them respond to daily challenges with more clarity and intention.
Heal Through Hands-On Experiences
Heal Through Hands-On Experiences
At The Embers, healing takes an active form through meaningful, immersive activities that engage patients beyond traditional talk therapy. Through art therapy, music, psychodrama, outdoor experiences, and restorative practices like sound baths and cold plunges, patients process trauma, explore repressed emotions, and build healthier coping skills.
