Review from Rehabs.com

Willingway saved my son’s life. As the parent of a child with a 15 year heavy drug addiction (opioids/heroin) , I almost gave up hope that my son could live any other way. After admission to over 15 different treatment centers over 20 years, I was convinced 30 days of treatment was simply not enough. My son needed to learn how to live a different life. The extended stay treatment program has somehow turned him around, completely. He has his life back and is sober now for 15 months, fully employed and enjoying his life. Fact is, he finally surrendered and followed the program. I paid privately as insurance would only pay for outpatient after a 30 day program... but it was so worth getting my son back. He did the work, and I know they were strict , but it worked. His counselor, his group, were so helpful and attending meetings every day and going through the 12 steps.. all figured into his successful recovery. He even told me that there was something about Willingway that is different than the other rehab centers. He believes it is their diligence and support and they sincerely wanted him to be sober and looked out for him in very supportive ways always advocating for the patient’s well being... something he couldn’t do for himself. I would highly recommend Willingway. It was recommended to me by a lovely and dear addictions counselor/friend who does intervention work and sends her clients to Willingway. Thank you Willingway and staff for giving my son his back the life that dugs took from him for so long.

Willingway is going through a learning curve with some new staff members but no new management or counselors. The staff are mostly nice, nurses are negligent at times with medications, and counselors rarely meet with you 1 on 1 & so are ineffective.

Willingway was my spring board to a better way of living. Staff was caring and food was amazing! I stayed December 2021 and really needed the help! I was stubborn for the first couple of weeks, but the staff was patient and more than supportive. Love this place!

BEWARE if you are dual diagnosed. Willingway's medical philosophy is very old school: they will strip you of all your psych meds and make you go without even if you enter their extended (12 month) treatment program. There was a very high turnover rate for the IOP counselors, and my own counselor was ineffective at monitoring my levels of anxiety and depression. I was simply trying to survive the program. When I returned home after 8 months of treatment, I was not medicated at all, my anxiety and depression increased dramatically and I eventually required hospitilization to avoid relapse. I am now back on a similar regimen of psych medications as I was before I entered treatment at Willingway. Willingway is not a safe treatment center.

Review from Rehabs.com

Willingway was my 14th treatment, I had been an IV Heroin addict for over ten years along with cocaine Xanax and alcohol. I recently celebrated a year clean and sober and am indebted to willingway for all they have done. When I went in I was resistant and did not plan to stay clean but between the structure, support and therapy from staff I changed my life. 90% of staff is in recovery which made a big difference for me personally. They understood firsthand. I also thought the food was good, they had a pool n hot tub and a gym that I didn’t use too much but the private rooms and bathroom situation was a pretty nice touch. Nice grounds also. I would recommend them hands down, I was referring by interventionist in Philadelphia, so they are pretty well known for their treatment apparently.
