About Western Counselling - Meijer House
This residential program is for adults with drug and alcohol use disorders and mild co-occurring disorders. It is a structured 12-step program that offers educational workshops, group therapy, gender-specific groups and one-on-one counseling sessions. Each client engages in cognitive-behavioral therapy throughout their time in the program. The therapies included are life and social skills groups, parenting, health awareness, dance therapy, reiki, relaxation, mindfulness and yoga. Families are also encouraged to be involved in treatment and meet with the counselor in order to improve family dynamics.
