My wife and her Total Life therapist suggested that I could benefit from individual therapy as a prerequisite to couples therapy. So I gave it a try. The Total Life therapist was friendly enough, professional and caring however I found no value in their service. If you need help with a genuine mental health condition I do not see therapy via zoom providing any real help. If you want to have a pleasant conversation with a paid listener then Total Life is for you.

After weeks of trying to schedule a session with our Dr we finally got on her calendar only to have two of three sessions cancelled at the last minute, one twenty minutes before it was to start. Total Life charges me if I cancel within 48 hours of a session start, maybe they ought to hold their therapists to a similar standard. The emotional roller coaster of scheduling telehealth sessions only to have them cancelled literally while waiting for Zoom to connect has led me to seek therapy elsewhere. She did wish us "good luck" when we told her we were no longer interested in receiving therapy from her - we don't need luck we need a therapist that shows up and keeps commitments.

I had high hopes only to be disappointed by a therapist who was difficult to schedule and cancelled sessions on very little notice, finally gave up and looked elsewhere.
