Severn Home guides men through a structured 5-stage program designed to build accountability, independence, and active engagement in recovery. Residents attend 4 recovery meetings each week in the early stages, work to connect with a sponsor, and gradually earn privileges such as overnight passes and extended curfews. This staged approach ensures men develop routines and skills to confidently transition from treatment into daily life.

Mentorship and On-Site Support

New residents are paired with a mentor, a peer further along in sobriety, who provides daily guidance, answers questions, and helps them adjust to the home during the first month. A live-in house manager oversees the house, reinforcing accountability, providing support, and ensuring residents follow the structured program while navigating early recovery challenges.

Comfortable Living and Community Engagement

The home features private and semi-private bedrooms, a full kitchen, a fully equipped gym, and year-round amenities including a hot tub and an outdoor pool. Residents participate in house activities, share meals, and engage with peers, creating a supportive environment that balances social connection with personal reflection. This structure helps men establish healthy routines and thrive in a stable, recovery-focused home.

Loved One of a Former Client

Maryland

Just giving a parent’s perspective…… seeing my son struggle with addiction over the years was heartbreaking. During transition from rehab to the next step, I had to decide if my son would come home or live on his own which he had done in the past however something was missing. I decided he needed something structured and something that I would live in myself. I found the perfect place, a beautiful mansion in a beautiful neighborhood with great reviews and thought this must be a fairytale, but low and behold it wasn’t. Kudos to Kent and his leadership from within. Kent is an owner, but he is definitely involved in day to day functions and goes out of his way to make families and residents fill welcome and comfortable. He stopped at a moments notice to do a walk-through of the home on the same day I called. When you are looking for help, the little things matter the most. Hands on actions truly make a difference to me as a parent. No matter how old my child is he is just that, my child and I must help him achieve what’s best for him. Sober Living Severn Home didn't just offer a place to stay, it provided a foundation for lasting change for my son. Witnessing his growth through positivity, sharing life experiences, holding one another accountable, lifting each other up in support and sheer brotherhood is nothing short of remarkable. Family is surely a factor in this home. Me and his children feel welcome when we visit his home. Truly blessed to find this gem.
