This place was nice. I don’t know about anyone else but when I arrived here for mental health I didn’t want to be there cause I didn’t think that I needed it but I honestly am grateful for some of the staff that I met. If you let them help you, they will. But obviously if you give the staff a hard time trying to help then that’s when you feel that some of the staff are being rude. Security did a pretty good job at keeping us safe but obviously, they would not be able to control for example, a 6’7 300lb man if there is only 1 or two people trying to keep everyone safe. Food kinda sucked though. Overall just let them help you and they will try their best.

Review from Rehabs.com

I have mixed feelings about this facility. My husband is in dire need of help and I am 110% onboard with him getting the help and tough love that comes along with that help. A few things I am finding troubling. He has a prescription for a low dose of medication that he has been taking for years. To suddenly be forced, by the staff at Pinewood, to stop his daily medications is not advisable as it can cause seizures and increase his panic and depression. However, this is exactly what has happened. I feel there needs to be some better judgment when it comes to patients who have been prescribed medications before entering this facility. It is dangerous and irresponsible to deny the patients medications. i plan to continue looking into this matter because, as a family member who can only speak to him 2 times each day at 5 mins per call, I'm feeling a bit confused on just how they are handling the people that are there for help. Very disheartening. Again, I'm not in denial that my husband needs to be there and continue with his long-term care but, I feel the patients should be treated with more care regarding their mental and physical help while in "lock down". Someone, I suppose, needs to advocate for them/on their behalf as they are basically being ignored with these types of requests.
