Rancho San Antonio's Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) is a trauma-informed initiative designed to support court-referred male youth aged 13 to 18, as well as non-dependent minors. The program focuses on addressing behaviors and life patterns that have led to their placement outside of their homes, fostering emotional healing within a caring community.

Recover in a Caring Environment

Utilizing the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) trauma-informed model, the STRTP offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to individual needs. These services include specialty mental health services like individual, family, and group therapy; substance use disorder treatment; case management; life skills training; creative healing arts interventions; recreational and athletic programming; educational services and tutoring; neurofeedback; job and career resource development; mentoring support; and programs like the Young Fathers Program. Additionally, the program provides aftercare community-based mental health services for up to one year following discharge.

Equity-Focused Care

The STRTP emphasizes the development of self-regulation, improved family connections, recovery from substance use when indicated, and the acquisition of life skills essential for successful living. By creating a supportive environment, Rancho San Antonio aims to instill hope, foster resiliency, and establish pathways for future success among the youth they serve.
