Adults who need more support than weekly therapy can access structured outpatient mental health treatment at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center Chicago. Their downtown Chicago location provides on-site partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) care for depressive disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma-related disorders while clients continue living outside treatment.

Practice Skills with Clinical Support

Pathlight uses mindfulness-based treatment and a multidisciplinary care team to help clients understand symptoms and practice new responses. Individual and group therapy give clients space to build coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, reduce avoidance, and improve communication. Psychiatric support and medication management may also help clients stabilize symptoms during treatment.

Choose the Right Level of Structure

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) meets 5 days per week for clients who need intensive support while living outside treatment. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) meets several days per week, giving clients more flexibility as they return to work, relationships, and home routines. Both levels help clients practice coping strategies in real time and bring challenges back to treatment for problem-solving.

Plan for Continuing the Path

Pathlight supports continued care through discharge planning, coping strategies, collaboration with outside providers, and referrals for ongoing support. After treatment, alumni and family members can access follow-up outreach, online resources, community events, and virtual support groups that extend connection beyond PHP or IOP.
