Located on the Gulf Coast of Florida and nestled along the Manatee River, Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential psychiatric treatment for adolescents (ages 11–17) struggling with mental health conditions. Designed to return the child to the family or community environment with the coping skills necessary to make safer and more productive choices in their lives, Palm Shores treatment uses cutting-edge safety measures while offering a comfortable, normative experience for patients. Treatment consists of evidence-based therapies in individual, family, and group sessions, as well as peer groups and expressive therapies.
Lodging includes comfortable living spaces and extensive outdoor activity areas, including a large playground, a full-sized sports field, basketball and volleyball courts, and a kickball field.
