Narconon Colorado is a Scientology organization which promotes the theories of the founder, L. Ron Hubbard, regarding substance use treatment and addiction. The program begins with a drug-free, non-medical withdrawal process designed to assist the client to come off drugs as rapidly and comfortably as possible. Next, Narconon combines exercise, nutrition, and sweating in a dry heat sauna to help drug users eliminate the harmful residues that drive cravings. The final component of the program consists of a series of Life Skills Courses. These courses give the client the tools they need to remain drug-free, and these courses include overcoming ups and downs in life, personal values, and changing conditions in life.

Review from Rehabs.com

I was losing my wife to her addiction but because of Narconon I got her back. This has been incredibly life changing for us and especially for my wife. Prior to Narconon, I felt I was losing her. Over time, she was becoming a different person, losing her basic self due to her addiction. It was creating an increasingly worsening condition as her addiction had become a substitute for confronting life. Something had to be done about it but there seemed like there wasn't any workable solution. But then Jason from Narconon Colorado reached out to me and really listened to my story and my situation. He really cared and understood the nature of the underlying issues. He was with me every step of the way, through tough confusions and anxieties about what to do and how to handle it. He helped me confront the situation and successfully pull off what I initially thought was practically impossible - getting my wife to Narconon and beginning to get real, actual, life-changing help. She then really started confronting and handling the root causes to her addiction. It turns out that addiction is not the root of the problem, it's only a "solution" to a deeper-rooted problem that isn't being confronted, but it creates a trap that one cannot get out of without major help. As she really dug into these basic issues throughout the Narconon program, I could really see my wife transforming back into her basic self, shedding off layers that were not her, and I began to get my wife back! On this journey, Chris from Narconon did an incredible job being there for her and keeping me up to date on her progress. He is truly an amazing, altruistic staff member who has the care and purpose to be there for those going through what can be an unconfrontable condition. And the supervisors and other staff really demonstrated that their purpose is to salvage people who've been ruined by drugs and alcohol. Kay particularly had shown that she really took personal ownership on ensuring my wife got through what she needed to so that she could come out of the darkness shining as her bright self. I am overwhelmed with joy from the result of getting my wife through this program. I had once doubted if I'd ever get her back, and I'd often wonder and dream if it could ever happen. I'm now living that dream and I have to keep pinching myself. She has become the best version of herself, the best I've ever seen, even before her addiction began, and we've been together for 16 years! It brings tears to my eyes to think about how the staff are there making this program possible, and who are the courageous heroes that were there for me and my wife, who helped salvage an artist, a wife, a best friend, a teammate and a beautiful being. I will forever be grateful. Thank you so much for saving her and allowing us to begin a new chapter in our lives.

Addiction is truly one of the strongest forces on this earth which makes it one of the hardest fights you will ever go through whether you are the addict or the loved one of an addict. I had a wonderful family, was a star athlete, had scholarships for college, and had everything going for me. I threw all of it away for drugs. I ended up in jail, overdosing, and endured many traumatic events. Fortunately, my family found Narconon. The program helped me find who I really am, taught me how to effectively handle situations in my life, helped me to get rid of all the guilt and shame I had been carrying around for so long, and most importantly helped me to love myself and life again. If I ever had a problem come up the counselors are there to help you get through it. The staff is very dedicated. The food is amazing. I’m not sure how many rehabs serve lamb chops or prime rib, but they do. I would highly recommend this program if you want a treatment that works. Thank you Narconon for saving my life.

Review from Rehabs.com

I went through Narconon Colorado in May of 2012 and I am still sober from drugs and alcohol to this day, a little over 5 years later. I liked that the program had an alternative approach to dealing with addiction than the traditional 12-step model. The sauna program helped me feel better physically than I had felt in years and I realized a lot of things about myself and why I resorted to substance abuse while I was going through the life skills courses. The staff was all very helpful and caring. This program helped me regain balance in all aspects of my life and gave me the tools to live a productive and meaningful life that I no longer want or feel the need to escape.

To all who are reading this… Let me just start off by saying this, Narconon Colorado and its caring and qualified staff saved my daughter’s life and are willing and able to do the same for you or your family as well. I would like to share with you all my experience with Narconon Colorado. A family member of mine had a long time alcohol and later cocaine addiction. It was ruining her life and her ability to deal honestly with herself, her family, her friends and employers. Narconon Colorado saved her life and gave her tools and an understanding of self to survive. It’s been about a year since she has started the program and has not had a drink or other drugs since. She can be around others at socials and has no desire to go backwards. She is her own person again, making her own sane choices. She has gotten her independent thinking back and can stand firm and confident as herself without drugs. Dealing with the people at Narconon was a pleasure! All true professionals. In the beginning they informed me of the process and what to expect even of my own daughter’s behavior. Throughout the process they treated my daughter and myself with professionalism and expertise of their years of experience. Everything they told me they kept their word, even to the point of calling me at least once a week and more if they felt appropriate to keep me informed. If I called them, they called back. If I had a question they answered it straightforward and honestly. Narconon Colorado proved to be a quality and effective drug rehab center and only a drug rehab center that has a caring and effective staff and facility and in no way tried to force religious beliefs of any kind on my daughter or myself. I checked into the science behind their methods and its workability and most of all, its success rate. I do not believe in rumors or disgruntled opinions of others who blame others as their primary operating basis. I believe in science, facts and results! I happen to be a retired doctor with numerous published research papers and have lectured all over the world meeting many people of many different beliefs. I have seen many methods work and fail in the treatment of the mind and body. I researched the methods of Colorado Narconon and that of others before I decided who to trust my daughter’s life. And yes, my daughter is an independent adult and is responsible for her own condition, I am still a father who loves and wants only the best for my daughter. After much research into other facilities and methodologies and staff I choose along with my daughter Narconon Colorado. And I am glad I did on so many levels. My daughter was treated so well and her results so positive that she gave them, Narconon Colorado the ultimate compliment, she referred a friend. Again, Narconon Colorado methods worked saved my daughter’s life and that’s what matters to me!
