Monima Wellness Center is an outpatient mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment program in San Diego, California, designed for women and female-identifying individuals. Monima is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Joint Commission accredited. Their program offers two levels of care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), as well as continuing care and an alumni program for ongoing support. Every client receives neuropsychological testing and works with the on-site psychiatrist, so treatment is tailored from day one. Monima is an LGBTQ+-affirming program grounded in culturally responsive, trauma-focused care.

Holistic & Nervous System-Centered Healing

Monima combines clinical therapies with holistic, body-based practices to help clients heal at a deeper level, not just manage symptoms. Clients receive 2–3 individual therapy sessions per week, with access to modalities like somatic experiencing, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS), and cognitive processing therapy (CPT). System-regulating practices such as acupuncture, reiki, yoga, sound healing, and dance therapy additionally support healing across the mind, body, and spirit. Monima also partners with Ohana Recovery Residences for optional transitional housing with 24-hour staff support, meals, medication assistance, and transportation to and from treatment.
