Strict attendance policy and mandatory participation in all groups were benefits of the facility. They need to focus more on 12-step. Outpatient rehab, 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, medical insurance required. Ability to graduate faster by willing to do the hard work.

Counseling, and a personal one on one initial therapy and program were strengths. However, there was lots of paperwork. This was an experience of a close loved one, who was satisfied with the treatment, and he's doing well so far, after 3 years.

The counselors, doctors and staff were excellent. Rooms for sleeping are not well lit, not available without sharing with another guest and there are not many rooms available. Outdoor area is Concrete pavement and little green area, no water features and used for smokers. Outdoor area is much like a prison or jail it maybe rehab but therapeutic outdoor green space to read and relax when not in program time would be beneficial. It's almost 10 years later and I'm still sober and have relationships with people from the rehab who have become my closet friends.

Review from Rehabs.com

I would not recommend to a friend, relative, colleague, etc. I would look elsewhere before considering ANY program offered by Loma Linda Behavioral Health. Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about this particular facility/clinic. I cannot state strongly enough that this facility should be avoided at all costs. It's woefully understaffed and, the staff that is still there, is largely comprised of volunteers. It's strictly 12-Step based, and alternative view/evidenced based approaches are frowned upon/discouraged.
