Serenely situated upstate in Saratoga Springs, Four Winds Saratoga cares for children 5+, adolescents, and adults with mental health conditions at their 88-bed private psychiatric hospital. They use a personalized treatment plan that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and medication management. Their residential, day, and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are accredited by the Joint Commission and certified by the state of New York. They allow cell phone and Zoom time at the end of the day for their residential program.
Four Winds admits clients 24/7, including involuntary clients.
The name Four Winds comes from the Bible passage Ezekiel 37:9-10, which says, "Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: "Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live."' So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army."
Age-Based Treatment Levels
For adults, Four Winds offers residential, day, and IOP treatment. For adolescents, they offer residential and day treatment. For children, they offer residential treatment.
The campus contains separate spaces for children and adolescents. The children and adolescent spaces incorporate schooling.
Visitors
Four Winds welcomes up to 2 adult visitors by appointment for an hour each week. If visitors can't make it onsite, they can visit via Zoom.
