Review from Rehabs.com

I went here twice for inpatient to get clean off heroin. I’ve been clean for over 7 years thanks in part to my own determination but also because centerpointe gave me the tools to navigate life sober. It’s one of the best rehabs in STL. That being said the success rate of being clean isn’t based off a rehab, it’s honestly random. When you first arrive you’re separated from inpatient members while you detox for 24-72 hours. You are given meds to help ease the withdrawals but it’s not magic. You’re going to be dopesick. After this you join inpatient and stay usually for 14-28 days depending on what the doctor recommends and financial situations. During my time in inpatient we had to get up every morning at 6:30, we’re given meds, went to meetings, had individual therapy, had group therapy, had recovering addicts come speak to us, and saw a psychiatrist. You’re allowed to smoke cigarettes and the food is decent. It’s not a luxury spa , but you should realize that bc it’s a rehab. It’s not dirty either. It’s sanitary and basic. The staff there truly cares. They invest their life in trying to give you the tools to succeed. They’re honest with you, never sugarcoating it, and will do what’s best for you long term. They’re not abusive but some will think they’re tough (as they ought to be). That being said any rehab is a good option for someone looking to get clean.

This place is a prison. The 7 horrible days I spent here were the most traumatic experience of my life. I was threatened multiple times by staff and did not receive any proper treatment. Please do not send your loved ones here, it is not safe!

My daughter was treated for alcohol addiction and we were all very pleased with both the detox program as well as the 2 week in patient program. She enjoys attending the AA meetings at the hospital now that she's in out patient and she feels nothing but hope and happiness being sober.

I had to room in men's wing being that there were no rooms in women's wing, so THAT meant sharing a bathroom but only first night AND the fact they put me in suicide watch even tho I WASN'T suicidal on first night kinda blame my Dr for NOT expressing this tho, it's an older place I guess or they really need to modernize the place everything is very basic plain looking, why not make it a pleasant experience since your paying so MUCH so this makee me think they're all about the money instead of making this a more appealing place to go change your life for the better, and there is no holistic here whatsoever and that'd been so nice..there is very little option in this area but this is in the top couple places to go without going to a place more suited for relapse or meeting a dealer..lots of filthy options for sure.
