Levels of Care

Substance use and mental health issues can occur simultaneously or as primary conditions. Effective treatment explores how mental health conditions contribute to addiction, and vice-versa. Many rehabs treat substance use disorders and mental health conditions with personalized care plans.
Detox
Typically the initial stage of treatment for substance use, focusing on medically supervised management of withdrawal symptoms.
Residential
Residential programs for substance use and mental health with structured care and 24/7 monitoring. Treatment takes place on-site, with behavioral health professionals often providing care in group, individual, and family settings.
Sober Living
Not Offered at This Center
Transitional housing designed to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders offering a safe, supportive and structured environment for practicing long-term sobriety, while reintegrating back into daily living.
Day Treatment
In a PHP, patients live at home but follow an intensive schedule of treatment. Most programs require you to be on-site for about 40 hours per week.
Intensive Outpatient Program
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.
Outpatient
Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Virtual & In-Home Care
Not Offered at This Center
The delivery of therapeutic services utilizing technology such as video conferencing, online messaging or phone calls, allowing for flexibility, comfort and increased access to care.

I would recommend this place to anyone for detox; ten days to two weeks. Good detox, good staff, good education and overall a good experience. You don't leave at all. You are pretty much caged in the whole time.

It is a lock down facility. You have a roommate. There are group and individual therapies. Most counselors are open to speak with you if you feel more comfortable speaking with them, and are willing to help if assistance is needed. Group was available everyday. Treatment and classes were great, but the care recieved by some staff was less then up to par. I didn't feel ready to leave, returned a second time and fought to stay longer but was unable to due to staff decision.

I went to Aurora numerous times and they did not help whatsoever. The point of that facility is for you to hate it so much, that you never want to come back. They have horrible ways of dealing with agitated patients...This facility is not good for troubled teens and I definitely would never recommend anyone going here.

My son was in there 2 months ago and guess what he's he is back again. I assume you need to do something about your way of detoxing. You don't put an addict on another drug. All is seems you are putting a bandaid on the problem.

It has a great plan for better family communication and deals with addiction contributors as well as the addiction itself. I'm not sure the individual case management is up to par. I noticed some of the other patients felt disconnected and misunderstood.. I do believe this facility as a whole cares about their patients and wants to help. I just feel the individual programs should be on the same page as the organization.
