Asheville Recovery Center in North Carolina offers personal and family-like treatment to those struggling with addiction. Since many faculty are in recovery from past addiction themselves, they provide both a personal and professional background for helping others. The first step is to understand the individual patient’s needs for their journey away from addiction. Then, residential treatment services and therapies can include detox, medication assisted treatment, 12 Step facilitation, individual and group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma therapy, family counseling, alternative therapy, and aftercare. Patients can continue individual therapy, offered as outpatient, as well, and group therapy to build a supportive, therapeutic community.

Asheville Recovery Center strives to have a well-rounded treatment plan for their patients, so they also include holistic therapy. Their holistic methods consist of yoga and meditation therapy with the goal to heal not just physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. With access to nature and breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this is quite attainable. Asheville Recovery Center offers comprehensive treatment for those ready for a better life.

A three-month stay at this facility saved my nephew's life. During his time at Asheville Recovery he was treated very respectfully and with kindness. He kept saying everyone is so nice! That, along with excellent counseling, classes, and fun activities followed by an excellent sober living home has allowed him to be the person he was intended to be. They teach good living skills as well. As it is in a real living situation, the residents have an apartment shared by one other person and they are responsible for their own groceries with a $75 allowance, cooking, laundry, and cleaning.

I was given the mental and physical tools necessary to overcome my addiction and the loss of my son. Through the dynamics of the program process, I am now able to face life on life's terms, and to fully commit myself to my loved ones. The staff are truly amazing, being recovered addicts helping guide recovering addicts to a life of sobriety. God broke the mold when he made them. They are truly beautiful and uniquely made by God's hands. I implore anyone seeking a new lease on life to call Asheville Recovery Center.

My son was at Asheville Recovery center for 60 days inpatient. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Its a tough decision to finally make that step for help. He also has severe anxiety. They made the process so easy and they immediately took that stress away and made him feel comfortable. It's a very close family-like facility. If you or a loved one needs help, this is the place to go. They truly saved my sons life! They are available for calls 24 hrs a day. The owners and staff are devoted to helping addicts. Many of them have been there themselves. In the past we have looked into other facilities. They seemed a lot like a hospital. Asheville Recovery is not like that. It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. I am so thankful we found them.

Review from Rehabs.com

My overall experience with Asheville recovery center was extremely positive. It's very different from other treatment centers and the staff all work very hard to accommodate the individual. The owners frequently visit the clinic and lodge and they regularly check in with patients. It felt a lot more like a family environment instead of a clinical rehabilitation facility. The counsellors and group leaders are also very professional and worked with me very closely. Having the residential building up in the mountains was really awesome too. This facility was very strong in the recovery area as a whole. more specifically, they were very good at community building, treatment plan personalization and working one on one with clients.

Review from Rehabs.com

My 20 year old son was in treatment there for less than 42 days. His time there was spent in group and individual therapy, playing volleyball, and gaming. He had to make his own meals so therefore he gained 20 -30 pounds eating junk. Nutrition is not a focus at this place. Communication at the beginning of his stay was terrible. Staff would make us feel badly if we asked any question or if we wanted to speak to our son. When we did talk to him, a staff member was always listening. Regarding mental health, he was discharged from there on 14 different medications. No exit plan was provided. It’s taken months to get his meds corrected. He’s still struggling with substance abuse. Please do not not send any young adult here.
